Givenchy RTW Fall 2014-”There’s light at the end of the tunnel”

Unlike his previous collections, Ricardo Tisci seemed to have been trough a personal journey leading to a revelation-”there are other ways in create fashion that the sweatshirt.”.Animal prints, flowers, butterflies in soft, loose dresses went along sharp tailored menswear -inspired pieces such as pants and tuxedos. No,the oversized ties and ill-fitting mid heel skirts were a bit gross in tailoring but there were also great sartorial moments such as the butterfly effect in dresses plus some interesting leather pieces and dress-leopard coats combos. The present collection seemed to be the first attempt from Tisci’s side to unify his very own fashion obsessions and the Givenchy heritage and as such, was interesting and in the right haute couture direction. At least,it won me back.
