“Manhattan. Sometimes from beyond the skyscrapers, across the hundreds of thousands of high walls, the cry of a tugboat finds you in your insomnia in the middle of the night, and you remember that this desert of iron and cement is an island.”

Albert Camus
Yes,its a fact that Madonna did manage to make Mc Cain and his supporters feel annoyed as she chose to feature his image along with ones of Hitler and Robert Mugabe on a huge video screen while performing “Get Stupid” track from the last “Hard Candy” cd.In the very end of the song, images of Barack Obama were featured instead, along with ones of John Lennon,Mahatma Gandhi,Al Gore.
It is a typical “Madonna” act, expressing not only her very personal political views but…teaching once more that the best way to promote yourself is… to create tension around your name, negative of positive, indifferent. The absolute perfection of dog’s tail brilliant PR master class attributed to Alkibiades…
to view the live version of the song..
yet, to be honest,THIS was my fav Madonna moment…
…its the Life in my Men…”

no comment on that..only..can someone inform Animal Rights organizations? Those animals don’t seem to have THAT much fun and, unlike models, don’t even get paid to look ridiculous…

By ELLEN VON UNWERTH for CHANTAL THOMASS
“To show his Autumn/Winter 2008 menswear collection for Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, creative director Stefano Pilati broke the mould of the traditional catwalk show by presenting his collection via film. Originally displayed on a triptych of screens, the film plays across three frames of action and is here shown in its entirety. Romantic, ethereal and yet technologically complex, the film manages to evoke the twin dynamics of familiarity and formality and the tension of old and new constantly at play in Pilati’s offerings for men.”
